B and & B Accommodation in Birr - The Stables Guesthouse Bed and Breakfast

On Tuesday April 13 2010 at a gala dinner hosted by The Irish Restaurant Association, The Stables, Birr were worthy winners of “The Best Casual Dining in Offaly” category.

The awards were sponsored by Santa Rita/Sunday Independent Life Magazine through which establishments were nominated by readers of the magazine. The awards celebrate all aspects of the industry from Chefs, Restaurants, Gastro Pubs, Cookery schools and recognise achievement & excellence in each category.

In 2005 The Stables diversified its business and opened a Home furnishings & gift store known as Emporium…at The Stables and continued to serve delicious food in the Georgian style Stables Tearooms. Here one can enjoy Coffees, scrumptious desserts, quiches, wraps, soup, afternoon tea, the best Club Sandwich and lots, lots more. The Stables follows its long tradition of best quality homemade food using as much locally produced ingredients as possible.
